Seven members of an Iranian human rights organization, the Committee of Human Rights Reporters, are being held in detention in Tehran. They are under pressure to "confess" to links with a banned opposition group, in which case they might face charges which can carry the death penalty. Three of the seven were among those arrested on a bus on its way to the funeral of a dissident cleric in December.

With emphasis on unity, concurrence, and solidarity of the Iranian literary society, intellectuals and literary figures inside and outside of Iran, this petition aims to direct global attention to atrocities and the violent and inhumane conducts that have violated Iranian people’s full individual and civil rights. Less than 3 weeks after arbitrary arrest of Saeed Kalanaki and Saeed Jalili far two prominent members of CHRR on December 20th, Iranian security forces arrested Shiva Nazarahari, Kouhyar Goudarzi and Saeed Haeri another 3 member of CHRR.
It is worth noting that, Ms Shiva Nazarahari was recently released on September 21st after 100 days in custody with no laid charges. Kouhyar Goudarzi, former secretary of the committee was sacked from his school prior to his arrest. Saeed Habibinia, Ms (...)

In a new bid to strangulate the voice of human right activist in Iran and preventing them from reporting cases of human rights violations committed by authorities in Iran, on Monday November 30th security agents arrested Saeed Kalanaki and Saeed Jalalifar, two other members of Committee of Human Rights Reporters on unknown charges.

Committee of Human Rights Reporters- Saeid Kalanaki, one of the members of Committee of Human Rights Reporters , has been arrested this morning in his workplace. Security agents have arrested him at 8 oclock this morning and then went for searching his house.
Saeid Kalanaki is one of the vans in defending political prisoners that has done significant activities in this field.
